Austrian Patent Office AT 12 856 Ul 2013-01-15
The invention relates to a cab of a vehicle, in particular an off-road vehicle, and the attachment of a front, a roof and a rear part, and a door to an original Protective frame of a vehicle chassis.
The well-known cabins of off-road vehicles (hereinafter referred to only SUV) consist of a front, roof and rear part and an openable door. The front part is glazed and equipped with a windscreen wiper (with a windshield washer as desired). The front part is attached to the SUV protective frame by individual holders, locks or by a sheet metal frame on the circumference of the glass. The roof part is made of hard polyethylene or sheet metal (as desired with the possibility of a roof window for ventilation) and is attached to the SUV protective frame by screws or locks. There are also SUV protective frames are known in which the roof part is made of a soft PVC film, which is attached to the SUV protective frame by means of fastening straps. The back part is fixed or openable and is either made of safety glass or made of soft PVC film. The rear of safety glass is attached to the SUV protective frame by holders, locks or by a sheet metal frame on the circumference of the protective frame of the vehicle chassis. In the rear of soft PVC film, a transparent section for the driver's view is formed and the rear part is attached to the SUV protective frame with fastening straps. The door is made of either hard polyethylene or sheet metal with a glazed section for the driver's view or is made of soft PVC film with transparent sections for the driver's left and right view. If the door is made of sheet metal and with glazing, it is attached to the SUV protective frame by screws or locks. The door can be equipped with an openable window for ventilation, with a door lock to the lock and with a gas spring for a comfortable opening. The door made of soft PVC film is attached to the SUV protective frame with fastening straps.
The disadvantage of the cabs in combination with the filling of glass and sheet metal is their high weight, which increases the SUV fuel consumption and the reduced stability of the SUV in difficult terrain. Furthermore, there is often a glass breakage and another disadvantage is a high price of the cabin including the spare parts. The disadvantage of the known booths with the polyethylene filling is their low material impact strength and their high scratch sensitivity. The drawback of the stalls with a soft PVC infill is low cold protection, inadequate securing of the stateroom to the intrusion of strangers, wrinkling of the film with long term curling in the summer, and thereby deteriorated transparency during reuse.
According to the US Patent 7845711 (WO 2008/127590) a detachable cabin of a vehicle is known in which individual parts of the cabin are connected to the vehicle frame by special snap locks. Although the use of this connection of the cab parts to the vehicle frame is fast, but expensive because of the use of special snap locks.
It is an object of the invention to develop a vehicle cabin which avoids the disadvantages of known cabins.
The stated object is solved by the features of claim 1.
The vehicle cab, which uses the attachment points of an original protective frame of a vehicle chassis for the attachment of the glazed front, a roof and a rear part, wherein the vehicle cabin further comprises a left openable door and the right openable door consists a glazed front part made of safety glass and fixed to the protective frame by holders and by a lower front steel support bar. This lower steel retaining strip also includes stops for door locks of the left-hand openable door and the right-hand openable door. The left-hand openable door is attached to hinges attached to a left-hand steel surface. The right-hand openable door is mounted on door hinges mounted on a right steel surface. The left steel surface and the right steel surface are attached to the protective frame of the vehicle chassis. The rear part is attached to the side of the protective frame by fastening screws and below by the rear steel retaining strip. Above the rear part is connected by screws with the roof part. The left-hand openable door and the right-hand openable door are visually split by a steel profile for reinforcement in the lower and upper part. The upper part is provided with the glass window fixed in the window profile, the window consisting of a fixed section and a displaceable section.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the roof part made of sheet steel or a polycarbonate plate with a hardened surface. The back part consists of a polycarbonate plate with a hardened surface or of safety glass, wherein it is formed solid or openable.
From the point of view of the small weight of the door ago, it is advantageous to fill the lower part of the openable door with a polycarbonate plate with a hardened surface, possibly with steel sheet, for increased resistance. The fixed portion of the glazed window has a polycarbonate sheet with a hardened surface or safety glass. The sliding section is made of safety glass.
According to the further embodiment of the invention, the window profile of the door consists of three ribs, wherein the outer rib comprises an extended portion which extends to the lower parts of the left and right openable door. The polycarbonate sheet or steel sheet is secured between the extended portion of the window profile and between the profile for stiffening the door.
The advantages of the invention are based on quick and easy attachment of individual parts of the vehicle cabin to the attachment points of the original protective frame of the vehicle chassis, without complicated locks or fasteners are used. By using the materials mentioned in the first and second protection claims it is possible to obtain further advantages, in particular by the small weight of the vehicle cabin, by the surface scratch resistance and the long life of the individual parts of the cabin as well as by the protection of the cabin and thereby the whole vehicle against unauthorized use.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows the front view of the vehicle cab and the left openable door, Fig. 2 shows the rear view of the vehicle cab and the left openable door, Fig. 3 shows the attachment of the profile to the Stiffening on the left openable door, Figure 4 shows the view of the plastic or aluminum window profile, and Figure 5 shows the mounting of the glass windows and the polycarbonate panel in the window profile.
The vehicle cabin 28 of an SUV vehicle according to FIGS. 1 and 2 makes use of the original protective frame 1 of the vehicle chassis, to the existing attachment points of which individual parts can be connected, namely a glazed front part 2, a roof part 3 and a rear part 4, wherein the vehicle cabin further includes a left openable door 5 and a right openable door 6.
The glazed front part 2 is made of safety glass and is attached to the protective frame 1 by holders 11 and a lower front Stahlhalteieiste 12. On the protective frame 1, a surface 18 for fixing the left openable door 5 and a surface 22 for fixing the right-hand openable door 6 are fastened laterally over the existing attachment points. Both surfaces 18 and 22 are made of sheet steel and have door hinges for fixing the left openable door 5 and the right-hand openable door 6. A lower front 2/8
